Elias (2021)

Elias was a recipient of the first annual Jerald Brown Welding Scholarship in 2021. Elias is excited to start his welding career in the Fall of 2021 at Missouri Welding Institute and take the Master Pipeline and Fitting Class. An ultimate goal Elias aspires to obtain is owning his own business in the future. Good luck Elias and congratulations!

Kellen (2021)

Kellen was a recipient of the first annual Jerald Brown Welding Scholarship in 2021. Kellen started at the Missouri Welding Institute in late April of 2021. Kellen enjoys learning new things and is is a team player. He spent some time researching a career that he thinks he could enjoy long term and is excited to start his journey. Way to go Kellen, congratulations!

 

Evan 2022

Congratulations to Evan, winner of the 2022 JB Welding Scholarship award! Evan is from Newburg, Missouri, and plans to begin his career at MWI in August this year. He achieved an FFA Greenhand degree in high school and is a hands on learner; excited to begin a career that he will excel at. He enjoys rebuilding things- he’s already rebuilt many dirt bikes and ATVs on his own! Fun fact: Evan’s older brother went to MWI! Keep it up Evan! Good luck at MWI this year!

Carter 2023

Carter is the recipient of the 2023 JB Welding Scholarship Award. He is interested in the many career pathways that a welding education has to offer. He enjoys problem solving and hands-on work which pair perfectly in the world of welding. He has been a committed high school student, with an impressive attendance record of 99.34%! You got this, Carter!

Kinley 2024

Meet Kinley, the 2024 JB Scholarship awardee! Kinley attended Raymore-Peculiar High School with an impressive academic and attendance record. She loves getting her hands dirty and has had a passion for welding since middle school. Her instructor at Cass County Career Center said, “She has a genuine passion for helping others, a keen eye for detail, and a relentless drive for continuous improvement.” Wow! We can’t wait to see you thrive at MWI. Congratulations!
